I had an award-winning screenplay produced to film and am currently writing a novel. I achieved accreditation as a proofreader and copy-editor with Chapterhouse Publishing. I have studied many aspects of writing and copywriting with The Open University, First Take Productions (Liverpool), Liverpool Community College and The Writers’ Bureau.

Proofreading and copy-editing are specialised skills. If possible, give your work to a professional proofreader or copy-editor. A professional is able to read with a detached eye and intervene as heavily or as lightly as you want.
